After building my own home (1977-1979) with the help of some very skilled friends, I resumed my career as a chef, all the while honing the skills that were learned during that first homebuilding project through constant improvement projects on the house. In the early 90's Mom mentioned to me that their next door neighbors were having a plumbing problem and I agreed to take a look at it and sure enough, fix it. After that, the calls started coming in , my parents neighbors, being very pleased with my work (and price!) were giving me the best advertising there is... word of mouth. CSHI was born. 

 

That's where we're at now after 18 years. The goal was to not get so big as to lose the hands on, personal working relationship I've enjoyed with my customers. Besides, I could never sit behind a desk anyway, it would drive me nuts! CSHI is a home based business. My barn and basement are the workshop and office. No fancy buildings, expensive trucks with high priced logos, my wife is the secretary and we spend very little on advertising. Even this web site is self built.
